You fire your piece
the hand torch you’ve probably not covered all areas of the piece, or you haven’t heated all areas for the same length of time. Try moving the hand torch in a circular motion evenly over the piece of jewellery. Thicker sections take a little longer to sinter than thinner ones. If this doesn’t help either, extend the firing time. The time given is only a general guideline. Before firing, make sure your torch has enough gas.

This can also be the case with new appliances, as the temperature sensor may not yet be calibrated. In this case, the only solution is to experiment and adjust the temperature and, if necessary, the burning time gradually.
